Waccamaw Community Foundation excited to welcome new Stewardship Officer Rachel Kennon
There’s a new team member at Waccamaw Community Foundation!
Rachel Kennon, our new Stewardship Officer, joined our staff in May. She’ll be leading our efforts to foster lasting philanthropy in Horry and Georgetown counties, while working closely with our current and prospective donors.
Rachel has almost a decade of nonprofit experience in program services, finance and development. She earned her bachelor’s degree in psychology from Bluefield College, where she graduated early with honors.
Rachel and her husband are originally from Virginia but have called the Grand Strand home for the past five years. During that time, they have become foster and adoptive parents in Horry County. They stay busy with their three toddlers and two pups!
Rachel has a passion for serving the Waccamaw region and considers it an honor to help the philanthropic leaders of this area make a lasting impact on the causes they care about.
