At Waccamaw Community Foundation, we’re always looking for ways we can better serve the community. One of the ways we’re doing that now is by improving the application process for our competitive grants. For the first time, WCF is accepting applications online for the next competitive grants cycle. We’re confident that this new system will make the application process simpler than ever, as well as save valuable time for our nonprofit partners.
That’s why Waccamaw Community Foundation is offering two sessions to help nonprofit organizations that serve Georgetown and Horry Counties understand how to use our new online grants application efficiently and effectively. We invite area organizations to send a representative to one of two sessions, which are being offered in the morning and afternoon of November 7. We will review the new application system, as well as answer general grants questions.
Register now to attend one of the training sessions!
The next competitive grant cycle opens in November 2017 with a submission deadline of January 10, 2018. The competitive cycle includes grants from the Waccamaw Community Trust, which helps fund specific projects that address a variety of needs in Georgetown and Horry County communities, and from the Elsie Beavers Carver and E. Lois Carver Educational Fund, which supports programs and projects in Horry and Georgetown Counties that further the cause of education for children. If you know of an organization that should apply for one of these grants, direct them to Kristen Bitzegaio, Program Associate at firstname.lastname@example.org or 843-357-4483 x102.
