Prestwick Country Club has been selected as the 2025 Myrtle Beach Area Golf Course of the Year by the Myrtle Beach Area Golf Course Owners Association, recognizing its top layout, superb conditioning, and strong community involvement. Beyond the course itself, Prestwick gives back by hosting six annual Special Olympics golf events, supporting junior and veterans’ golf programs, running youth camps, and contributing to local nonprofits and civic initiatives.
Founded by Mary Emily and Nelson Jackson and their five daughters, The Jackson family donates a portion of their profits each year to philanthropic efforts through the Waccamaw Community Foundation, supporting scholarships, youth and veterans’ programs, and local nonprofits across Horry County.
This recognition celebrates Prestwick’s outstanding golf experience and the Jackson family’s continued support of the Waccamaw region.
