Disaster Relief Fund
Through the Disaster Relief Fund, Waccamaw Community Foundation serves as the primary point of financial donations for all disaster relief and recovery efforts in Horry, Georgetown and Williamsburg counties.
In partnership with the local VOADs (Voluntary Organizations Active in Disaster), we distribute funds to organizations like The Salvation Army, The Red Cross, Catholic Charities, and other locally-based relief efforts in the wake of natural disasters such as hurricanes and flooding.
The Disaster Relief Fund is designed to support long-term recovery efforts as well as immediate relief efforts if and when the need arises. This fund is also focused on long-term investments such as infrastructure and housing, which are critical needs for the community, especially for rural neighbors, families in poverty and senior citizens.

To make a donation by check, please mail your gift to our office address: 3655 South Highway 17 Business, Murrells Inlet, SC 29576. Checks should be made out to Waccamaw Community Foundation with designation of Disaster Relief Fund in the memo section.
