How to Help:
Disaster Relief Fund
Through the Disaster Relief Fund, Waccamaw Community Foundation serves as the primary point of financial donations for all disaster relief and recovery efforts in Horry, Georgetown and Williamsburg counties, when a federal disaster has been declared by governmental officials.
In partnership with the local VOADs (Voluntary Organizations Active in Disaster), WCF distributes funds to organizations like Habitat for Humanity, Catholic Charities, and other locally-based relief efforts in the wake of natural disasters such as hurricanes and flooding, when a federal disaster has been declared by governmental officials..
The Disaster Relief Fund is designed to support long-term recovery efforts as well as immediate relief efforts if and when the need arises. This fund is also focused on long-term investments such as infrastructure and housing, which are critical needs for the community, especially for rural neighbors, families in poverty and senior citizens.
